Job Description

Responsibilities

  • The Marketing & Communications Specialist develops and executes integrated marketing and communications initiatives that promote business objectives, enhance client engagement, advance thought leadership initiatives, and increase brand visibility for assigned markets and business areas.
  • This role contributes to the development and execution of marketing communications plans, campaigns, and programs, requiring strategic thinking, impactful writing, audience-focused messaging, and disciplined execution.
  • A successful marketing specialist is a versatile self-starter, detail-oriented, and able to balance short-term deadlines against long-term goals.
  • Must manage time and coordinate resources effectively while maintaining a focus on strategic objectives, quality standards, and continuous improvement.
  • The employee must bring a proactive, professional, and creative approach; be an effective listener; and clearly communicate in both written and oral presentations.
  • In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
  • Support the development, execution, and measurement of marketing communications plans, strategies, and tactics in support of assigned focus areas and help align marketing activities with GFT’s Strategic Plan and business priorities.
  • Understand business line positioning, differentiators, client needs, and industry trends to develop and execute thought leadership strategies and evaluate marketing effectiveness through measurable results.
  • Partner with technical professionals and business leaders to translate complex ideas into clear, compelling marketing messages and communications.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and MarCom leaders to coordinate and execute integrated marketing campaigns across channels that support business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in corporate communications or marketing.
  • Experience marketing professional services, architecture, engineering, construction, consulting, or related industries.
  • Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) certification.
  • Strategic Messaging & Communications - Creates clear, compelling, audience-focused content that translates technical concepts into meaningful stories, demonstrates market expertise, supports business objectives, and maintains brand standards.
  • Project & Workflow Management - Independently manages multiple assignments, prioritizes work, meets deadlines, and follows established processes and quality expectations.
  • Marketing Strategy Execution - Understands business goals and marketing plans, contributes research and insights, and executes tactics that support strategic objectives.
  • Marketing & Communications Expertise - Applies best practices across marketing disciplines while continuously building industry knowledge and functional expertise.
  • Business & Market Acumen - Demonstrates understanding of GFT's business, services, clients, markets, and the BD&M lifecycle to inform decisions and work products.
  • Communication & Collaboration - Communicates effectively across audiences, collaborates with colleagues and stakeholders, and contributes positively to team success.

Preferred

  • Experience marketing professional services, architecture, engineering, construction, consulting, or related industries.
  • Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) certification.
