Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted communications counselor to corporate department leaders, recommending effective ways to reach target audiences with clear, timely messages
  • Lead the development of marketing and communications materials from initial concept through delivery, providing creative direction to graphic designers, videographers, and other creative partners while maintaining corporate brand and graphic standards
  • Manage the editorial calendar and project plans for corporate department initiatives, including timelines, milestones, contributors, reviews, and approvals; plan appropriate support involving Marketing, Creative Services, and Communications colleagues as needed
  • Manage the company’s employee listening program, including the enterprise pulse survey, survey design and cadence, platform setup and launch, response monitoring, analysis of quantitative and qualitative feedback, and presentation of clear insights and recommendations to senior leadership
  • Seek input from internal communications, external communications, Marketing, and Brand Strategy to align messaging, timing, and channels for communications
  • Write, edit, and manage content across multiple channels, including newsletters, intranet, websites, video, and other platforms
  • Lead communications analytics and reporting for the department by establishing metrics, tracking engagement across channels, delivering reports, and recommending improvements based on the results
  • Review deliverables to ensure accuracy of information, consistency, readability, and brand standards
  • Lead, coach, and mentor communications team members; supervise staff and support professional development
  • Identify and recommend technical and creative process improvements

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of corporate communications, marketing, or public relations experience
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in public relations, journalism, English, or a related business field
  • High proficiency with communications technology, including survey platforms such as Medallia, Qualtrics, and SurveyMonkey; email marketing platforms such as Workshop and Campaign Monitor; and media monitoring and social media management tools, with experience using these or similar platforms
  • Familiarity with Canva, Salesforce, OpenAsset and Adobe Creative Suite; experience using AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude or ChatGPT to improve research, content development, analysis and workflow efficiency
  • Strong analytical and data storytelling skills, with the ability to identify trends, distill complex data, and present clear findings and recommendations
  • Excellent writing and editing skills and high proficiency in AP style
  • Excellent time management, organization, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to research, analyze, and synthesize information
  • Availability for occasional local and out-of-town travel (5%)
