Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Work with internal and external partners in setting, meeting, and exceeding the marketing goals as a part of the overall organization’s annual development and marketing plan.
  • Plan and produce an annual marketing calendar and annual KPIS’s for website, digital, print, email marketing, and social channels.
  • Develop all marketing collateral and content to promote RMHC programs, campaigns, and events including but not limited to annual reports, impact reports, sponsorship opportunities, e-newsletters, direct mail campaigns, flyers, posters, brochures, signage, advertisement, other printed materials, videos, PowerPoint presentations, speeches, and other communication tools utilized internally and externally for RMHC Columbia and its programs consistent with RMHC Global and local brand guidelines.
  • Manage all social media platforms and maintain a social media calendar to promote and grow awareness of RMHC Columbia programs, campaigns, and events. Create content specific to each channel that is compelling and increases audience engagement. Monitor engagement and respond promptly to all comments.
  • Write, edit, proofread content for e newsletters, social media, website, emails, digital signage, blogs, and other communication vehicles.
  • Work with other staff to plan and implement donor cultivation and recognition events.
  • Collaborate with Community Relations and Event Manager in to promote events and community engagement initiatives.
  • Steward the RMHC brand in all external and internal engagement, including brand standards set both locally and at the global RMHC level.
  • Continually track, measure, evaluate, and report achievement of communication goals and KPI’s with focus on recommending and incorporating improvements as appropriate.
  • Oversee and develop in-house direct mail campaigns.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration, Public Relation or Marketing; OR 2-4 years of experience in Business Administration, Public Relations, or Marketing; OR Any combination of education and experience
  • Experience in marketing and communications, development and or community outreach within a nonprofit is a plus.
  • Experience with managing and maximizing social media platforms. Social Media savvy.
  • Knowledge of marketing concepts, principles and integrated marketing communication theory and practice.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail and ability to meet multiple deadlines while working in a fast paced, muti taking environment.

  • Computer proficiency including database, social media software, web-based applications, Adobe or Creative content software,

Preferred

  • Experience in marketing and communications, development and or community outreach within a nonprofit is a plus.
