Responsibilities

Events (~30%) — Own the annual calendar end to end: which events, the budget, logistics, sponsorship deliverables, booth and demo readiness, pre-event outreach, and post-event follow-up with Sales. Attend our top-tier events in person and report ROI per event.
Partnerships (~20%) — Grow our relationships with our partners: Addepar, Aleta, MyFO, Asora, BILL, Ramp, FOX, FWA, Campden, industry associations, CPA/advisor networks. Run co-marketing (joint webinars, dinners, content) and keep partners informed on a regular cadence.
Brand & Storytelling (~25%) — Find the stories worth telling and tell them well. Work with our founders and team to surface the point of view, client wins, and lessons from the family-office trenches that deserve an audience — then shape them into LinkedIn posts, talks, newsletters, and case studies that people in our world actually repeat. You'll own a recurring events newsletter, maintain client and partner pages on getsumit.com, grow our LinkedIn presence, and produce case studies and client testimonials. You'll also be the guardian of how SumIt shows up to partners and prospects — one consistent story across our sales decks, booths, collateral, and more.
Sales Enablement (~15%) — Arm Sales and CS with one-pagers, leaflets, decks, and demo scripts; partner with Product on launch communications.
Marketing Ops (~10%) — Own the marketing and events budget with an accountant's discipline: accurate forecasting, timely invoices, clean coding, monthly reporting. Keep lead sources tidy in HubSpot.
SEO/content/website (optional) — SEO and search content, our product newsletter, and website design. You'd be the point of contact for that work. If you have the chops and the appetite, there's room to bring in some of it and grow the role around it — that's a conversation we're happy to have from the start.

A relationship builder. You're at ease walking into a room full of strangers, you read it fast, and you leave with names, follow-ups, and people who want to hear from you again.
You know how to dial professionalism up or down. A principal's dinner, a CPA roundtable, a Zoom with a partner's marketing team, and a Slack thread with our engineers each get the right register — and you switch between them without thinking.
A feel for story and brand. You can find the angle in a client win or a founder's opinion and shape it into something people repeat. You notice when a deck, a booth, or an email is off-brand before anyone else does.
Meticulous. Twenty events means a lot of commitments a year — you keep every one of them. Nothing gets dropped, nobody has to chase you, and the details are right the first time.
Experience running events, programs, or budgets end to end — planning through follow-up, with real accountability for the outcome.
Excellent writing. A crisp email to a managing partner, a warm one to a conference organizer, a LinkedIn post that sounds like a person rather than a press release.
Daily AI user (Claude, ChatGPT) — and eager to use it to learn the parts of marketing you haven't done yet.
Based in the NYC area.

Prior B2B marketing experience — events, content, email, website, or partnerships
Some exposure to our space — family offices, wealth management, RIAs, accounting firms, or fintech
