Leasing & Marketing Professional - The Standard Los Angeles

Responsibilities

• Maintain working knowledge of applicable affordable housing programs (e.g., LIHTC, Section 8, or local housing programs) and associated eligibility requirements.
• Accurately process affordable housing applications, including income verification, asset documentation, and household certification.
• Ensure all applicant and resident files meet audit standards and are completed in accordance with regulatory guidelines and company procedures.
• Support initial certifications and ongoing recertifications, ensuring timely and accurate submission of required documentation.
• Utilize designated affordable housing software systems and portals (separate from student leasing systems when applicable).
• Clearly explain program requirements, income qualifications, and lease terms to applicants and residents.
• Coordinate with Compliance Specialists or third-party partners to ensure approvals and file accuracy.
• Track affordable unit availability, waitlists, and leasing progress while maintaining compliance with occupancy and income restrictions.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive financial and personally identifiable information.
• Ensure adherence to Fair Housing laws while also applying program-specific compliance standards.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Preferred

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a relevant major preferred.
• Minimum 1-year sales and marketing experience preferred.
• Minimum 1-year residential leasing experience preferred.
• Locally mandated licenses/certifications strongly preferred and, in some cases, required.
• Entrata experience preferred.
• Must be available to work the following: Evening and weekend hours; University closings; Turn Period (Extended hours will be required as necessary.)
