Job Summary

Own and optimize student social media content across platforms, balancing design, trends, and engagement to support campus campaigns and diverse voices.

  • Post across Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, TikTok, and LinkedIn with visuals and video content to drive audience reach.
  • Collaborate with Faculty, Staff, and Student Groups to source content and ensure campaigns reflect diverse perspectives.
  • Monitor interactions, respond professionally, and stay ahead of trends to keep content fresh and relevant.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Post content across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok and LinkedIn, including text, pictures, and videos.
  • Graphic Design Tasks
  • Support Honors staff in creation of visually appealing graphics and videos using Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Assist with design images, video content, and layouts that enhance engagement and effectively communicate the intended message.
  • Assist Honors staff in Staying Updated on Social Media Trends
  • Incorporate innovative strategies to keep content fresh and relevant.
  • Handle Scheduling, Monitoring, and Responding to Interactions
  • Schedule posts to maintain a consistent presence on social media.
  • Monitor interactions, engage with the audience, and respond to comments professionally.
  • Collaborate with Faculty, Staff, and Student Groups

Requirements

  • Maintain a 2.0 G.P.A. or greater per semester and cumulative.
  • Students must be enrolled in at least halftime units at CSUSB (6 units undergraduate; 3 units graduate)
  • International students must have full-time enrollment at CSUSB. (12 units undergraduate; 6 units graduate)
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Payroll Requirement: Social Security Card
  • Admission or registration as a CSU student.

Preferred

  • The ideal candidate for the Student Assistant for Digital Social Media position will be a current student at CSUSB with a strong academic record and a demonstrated interest or experience in digital marketing, social media management, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a social media or marketing role, gained through coursework, internships, or prior jobs, is highly desirable for this position.
