Job Summary

Own and evolve GTM engineering by building integrations, automations, signal processing, and AI-enabled workflows that connect marketing tech with Salesforce and enrich data for GTM plays.

  • Lead integrations and data pipelines across marketing, sales, and customer success
  • Own automation, routing, and AI-enabled workflows in the GTM stack

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Integration and API Support You build and maintain the connections between the marketing-owned stack and Salesforce. Because most of our GTM tools write into a CRM that a separate RevOps function owns, you build and support those integrations against the rules and patterns the team defines: what each tool pushes into Salesforce, in what shape, and with what validation. Clean, reliable integrations across marketing, sales, and customer success motions are part of your day-to-day work.
  • Workflow Automation and Lead Routing You build and configure the routing that makes sure inbound never sits in a queue and reaches the right motion by segment, working from defined rules. You automate the manual steps reps and operators hate. You build the routing and automations, the operations team owns the rules and the running, and you work with them so the two never drift apart.
  • Signal Processing and Intent You build the capture and processing that turns raw intent data (Starbridge and other account-level signals) into something the GTM teams can act on before a buyer ever raises a hand. Following the team's approach, you configure how signals are scored, deduped, and routed into plays, and you build the plumbing that delivers them in time to matter.
  • AI Tool Deployment and Agentic Workflows You build, deploy, and support AI capabilities: AI SDR and website chat, AI-assisted research and prospecting, and the agentic workflows that let a 25-person team run motions a much larger one could not. You build the automations, wire them into the stack, and instrument them so their output can be trusted and measured.
  • Tech Stack Builds and Territory Configuration You stand up and configure new tooling to our territory design and pipeline reporting. You build in Salesforce and across forward-looking platforms like Phave and 1mind, and when we adopt a tool you help get it built into the stack correctly and talking to everything else. This may include writing custom scripts to meet data and market needs.
  • Data and Contact Enrichment You build and support the enrichment pipelines that keep contact data accurate at the buying-entity level: right person, right title, right institution. You pull from multiple sources, dedupe and normalize at scale, and build the checks that keep enrichment quality high as volume grows. This is the enrichment layer specifically, and it runs alongside the broader corporate data-foundation initiative rather than owning it.
  • What This Is Not This is a hands-on building role, not the operations seat. The Marketing Operations team owns campaign execution, funnel reporting, list management, and the day-to-day running of the systems. Your job is to build, configure, and support those systems so they run reliably. This is real technical work, not just clicking through a UI.
  • It is also not a role where you wait for a perfect spec for every task. The playbook is still being written. You work from the direction of experienced team members, and in limited cases, you will decide what needs to exist and build it. AI handles the volume. That is not a constraint. It is what makes this role interesting.
  • This is a career-development role with real runway. You start by building and supporting under the guidance of the team, and as you grow you will take on more complex GTM engineering work and begin to lead pieces of the build yourself. As the business scales, so does the team, and the right person sees this as the ground floor of a GTM engineering career at Blackboard.
  • Why This Role The brand has recognition. The AI thesis is set from the top. The integrations, the automations, the enrichment pipelines, the AI-native systems that a reborn Blackboard will run on: you will help build them, learn from experienced operators, and grow into leading GTM engineering work over time. This role sits inside the Marketing organization, in GTM Intelligence & Operations, working directly with the VP of GTM Intelligence & Operations and a team of marketing peers as driven as you are to win. You will have a hand in building the engine behind how one of the most recognized brands in education technology goes to market during one of the most interesting moments in the company's history.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years in revenue/marketing/sales operations, GTM systems, growth engineering, or a comparable technical GTM role
  • Proven track record of building and shipping GTM automations or data pipelines yourself, not directing others to build them
  • Hands-on ownership of a CRM (Salesforce strongly preferred) as a builder, including objects, automation, and integrations
  • Demonstrated use of AI as a core part of how you work: research, prototyping, and troubleshooting, not an occasional add-on
  • Self-directed problem solver who unblocks themselves rather than waiting for a spec or a specialist
  • Bias toward building fast, measuring, and iterating with incomplete information
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Working proficiency in Python or SQL (ideally both), and fluency using AI coding assistants such as Claude Code to build and ship faster
  • Experience building and consuming REST APIs and connecting tools that were not designed to talk to each other
  • Fluency with modern enrichment, intent, and automation tooling, and the judgment to build across forward-looking platforms like Phave (MAPS) and 1mind (AI chat)

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical, analytical, or business field, or equivalent practical experience. Demonstrated ability to build outweighs the credential
  • Experience deploying AI SDR, agentic workflows, or LLM-based systems in a live GTM motion
  • Exposure to education technology, higher education, or public-sector sales
  • Experience working alongside a separate RevOps or CRM-owning function, with clean handoffs across a shared data model
