Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Own paid acquisition across Meta, Google, and TikTok
  • Design, launch, and optimize campaigns that efficiently acquire new customers while growing revenue.

  • Continually refine structure, audiences, and creative to improve blended CAC and contribution margin, not just cheapest clicks.
  • Build and manage a clear experimentation roadmap across creative, audiences, offers, and landing pages.
  • Lead Amazon performance and discoverability
  • Own Amazon Ads strategy and day‑to‑day management (Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, etc.).
  • Deepen keyword coverage and ranking to increase discoverability for priority titles.
  • Identify and execute improvements to Amazon PDPs (imagery, copy, reviews, A+ content, pricing/merchandising) to lift conversion.
  • Improve the buying journey across channels

Requirements

  • 4+ years of hands‑on performance/growth marketing experience for consumer or e‑commerce brands, including direct ownership of Meta and Google campaigns.
  • Experience managing Amazon Ads and working with Amazon SEO/keyword tools; you know how to improve both traffic and PDP conversion, not just one or the other.
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort using performance data (platforms, GA4/analytics, attribution tools) to prioritize, test, and make decisions.
  • A test‑and‑learn mindset: you’re used to building structured roadmaps, running experiments, and closing the loop on learnings.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with designers, developers, and email/CRM partners to improve the full funnel.
  • Excellent written communication and the ability to shape or brief performance creative for parents and caregivers.
  • Comfort working in a small team where you switch easily between strategic thinking and rolling up your sleeves in the accounts.
  • Background working with D2C that sell heavily through both Amazon and Shopify.

Preferred

  • Experience with children’s products, education, or parenting audiences.

Benefits

  • A mission you can get behind: We're building something that genuinely matters — helping kids fall in love with reading. Every role here connects to that in a real way.
  • A small team built on trust: We're collaborative, low-ego, and direct. You won't spend your days in approval chains or waiting for sign-off on decisions that should be yours to make. We hire people we trust, and then we trust them.
  • An asynchronous globally distributed team: Our founders are based in LA, our team spans multiple time zones, and we work in a way that reflects that, with flexibility. For this role, we'd love someone NYC based who's up for in person time with our Head of Marketing but there is no fixed requirement.
  • Work that's varied and visible: In a team this size, your work has real impact and real visibility. You'll see the connection between what you do and how the business grows.
  • Thoughtful, sustainable ways of working: We care about building something durable, and we apply that same thinking to how we work. We're not a burnout culture.
  • Honest, two-way feedback: We believe in direct, kind communication. You'll always know where you stand, and we'll expect the same from you.
