Responsibilities

Proactively identify and pursue opportunities to increase Southern Marsh's visibility and involvement in the local community.
Build relationships with local businesses, universities, Greek life organizations, student groups, nonprofits, clubs, and other community partners.
Research and pursue opportunities involving local events, festivals, sponsorships, fundraisers, campus activities, and community initiatives that align with the Southern Marsh brand.
Initiate outreach and develop partnerships that introduce Southern Marsh to new audiences and create opportunities for local brand exposure.
Coordinate community collaborations, local promotions, and brand partnerships from initial outreach through execution.
Work with retail teams to identify opportunities that increase local awareness, encourage store visits, and strengthen customer relationships.
Coordinate event logistics, promotional materials, and other needs for approved community and marketing initiatives.
Maintain relationships with community contacts and follow up on opportunities for continued collaboration.
Represent Southern Marsh professionally and authentically in community-facing interactions.
Oversee day-to-day office operations to maintain an organized, efficient, and welcoming work environment.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
3–5 years of experience in marketing, community relations, event coordination, business development, relationship management, or a related role.
An outgoing, personable approach with a genuine interest in meeting people, networking, and building relationships.
A self-starter who actively seeks opportunities, generates ideas, and takes initiative to turn connections into meaningful partnerships.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including comfort with outreach and representing a brand in professional and community settings.
Experience with local marketing, event coordination, partnerships, promotions, or community engagement preferred.
Strong organizational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and follow through on details.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Asana, or similar business systems.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with leadership and teams across the company.

Preferred

Existing connections to Greek life, campus organizations, universities, or other local community networks are a strong plus.
Experience in retail, apparel, lifestyle brands, hospitality, or other customer-facing industries is beneficial.
