Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Draft email campaigns promoting new IRG video series releases, including short descriptions, calls to action, and links to watch or share the content.
  • Create membership promotion emails that encourage individuals to join IRG, renew their membership, or learn more about the benefits of being part of the organization.
  • Write symposium promotion emails for upcoming IRG events, including speaker announcements, registration reminders, program updates, deadline reminders, and post-event follow-ups.
  • Support donation and fundraising email campaigns by helping communicate the importance of IRG’s mission and encouraging supporters to contribute.
  • Develop sponsorship and partnership outreach emails that highlight opportunities for organizations, institutions, companies, and individuals to support or collaborate with IRG.
  • Create promotional emails for volunteer roles, job opportunities, calls for papers, organizational announcements, publications, programs, and other IRG activities.
  • Use Brevo to help build, format, schedule, and support email campaigns according to IRG’s needs and campaign timelines.
  • Assist with maintaining organized email lists, campaign drafts, templates, and audience segments within Brevo when needed.
  • Help prepare subject lines, preview text, calls to action, and campaign language designed to increase audience engagement.
  • Review and revise email copy for clarity, professionalism, accuracy, tone, and consistency with IRG’s mission.

Requirements

  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading ability.
  • Willingness to learn, collaborate, and support IRG’s mission.
  • Ability to follow direction, meet deadlines, and communicate clearly with team members.

Preferred

  • Experience using Brevo to create, format, schedule, or manage email campaigns.
  • Experience with other email marketing platforms, newsletters, nonprofit communications, fundraising campaigns, or promotional writing.
  • Interest in space exploration, interstellar research, astronomy, STEM education, science communication, or nonprofit outreach.
