Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategy and execution of all internal and external communications to drive enrollment, support fundraising, and strengthen the school’s brand.
  • Partner with Admission to build and execute multi-channel campaigns (digital ads, print collateral, recruitment drives) that highlight Pike to prospective families.
  • Manage the daily operations and growth of the website (Finalsite) and social channels (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn); collaborate with external partners on digital advertising.
  • Maintain Pike’s profile across external school review sites (Google, Niche, GreatSchools etc.).
  • Lead promotional strategy, digital assets, signage, and collateral for key institutional events (Commencement, One Pike Day, Centennial, and Auxiliary Programs).
  • Maintain the master communications calendar to drive a consistent cadence for all internal (faculty, staff, parents) and external messaging.
  • Write, edit, and publish schoolwide e-newsletters, website stories, social content, and leadership communications via platforms like Constant Contact.
  • Partner with Development and Alumni Relations to ensure donor and alumni outreach aligns with schoolwide messaging and voice.
  • Execute the multi-year communications strategy for Pike’s 100th anniversary in 2026–2027 and beyond.
  • Coordinate incoming marcom requests and project timelines across departments to ensure accurate, on-time delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; degree in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, English, or a related field preferred.
  • Four or more years of marketing or communications experience preferably within an independent school, higher education, nonprofit, or other mission-driven organization.
  • Outstanding writing, editing, verbal communication, and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate institutional priorities into compelling messaging for a variety of audiences.
  • Experience managing websites and social media platforms; Experience with photography, videography, and digital asset management preferred.
  • Highly collaborative with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to build relationships across a diverse school community and work effectively with faculty, staff, students, families, alumni, trustees, and external partners.
  • This is a full-time, twelve-month position requiring occasional evening and weekend work in support of School events and institutional priorities.
