Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Build and Lead the Marketing Function
  • Develop and implement a marketing and business development plan aligned with the President’s priorities.
  • Establish workflows, outreach schedules, reporting practices, and measurable goals.
  • Create a consistent brand voice across company communications.
  • Recommend marketing tools, staffing, and budgets as the department grows.
  • Coordinate and supervise marketing support staff as assigned.
  • Generate Leads and Identify Projects
  • Research prospective clients, upcoming projects, solicitations, and opportunities that fit the company’s capabilities.
  • Identify opportunities with private businesses, prime contractors, public agencies, and other organizations.
  • Conduct professional outreach through email, telephone, social media, networking, and industry events.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in marketing, business development, client relations, or a closely related field.
  • Experience creating processes or building a marketing or outreach function.
  • Strong professional writing, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to research opportunities, qualify leads, and manage consistent follow-up.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, content creation tools, and CRM systems.
  • Strong organization, judgment, and ability to work independently.
  • Comfortable performing day-to-day outreach while developing the department’s strategy.
  • A degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field is preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.

  • Business-to-business marketing or professional services sales.
  • Government contracting, solicitation research, or prime contractor outreach.
  • Subcontractor recruitment and teaming-partner development.
  • Consulting, HR services, staffing, construction, or project management industries.
  • Leading a small team or building a department within a growing company.
