Job Summary

Own field and partner marketing strategy and budget, with line management and cross functional collaboration to drive pipeline across target accounts, federal/defense, and partners.

  • Field and Partner Marketing ownership: strategy, budget, ROI tracking, and team leadership.
  • Regional program execution: aligned with Sales and partner ecosystems to accelerate pipeline and expansion.
  • Cross-functional orchestration: collaborate with Product Marketing, Creative/Brand, Communications, and Demand Marketing to deliver events, webinars, and ABM programs.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the company's Field and Partner Marketing strategy aligned to revenue and growth objectives.
  • Oversee 1 manager-level direct report in a growing Field and Partner Marketing function.
  • Partner with Sales leadership to design and execute regional marketing programs that accelerate pipeline creation and customer expansion across target accounts and territories.
  • Own and manage the field marketing messaging strategy used across event booths, banners, promotional materials and communications.
  • Build scalable, field-centric partner marketing programs with strategic technology partners, system integrators, distributors, and reseller communities. These may include events, webinars, trades shows and related campaigns.
  • Plan and execute a diverse portfolio of field events including, but not limited to, executive events, customer roundtables, conferences, trade shows, and partner-sponsored events.
  • Plan and execute digital webinar programs aligned to partner goals, solution topics and customer needs.
  • Collaborate with Communications and PR on field event news creation, media relations, blogs, social media promotions, thought leadership, press releases, partner communications and other communications activities.
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing to create compelling solutions messaging, campaigns, and sales enablement assets as well as webinar programming.
  • Collaborate with Creative and Brand Marketing to create mesmerizing, branded event experiences, event content, booth designs, creative activations and buildouts for all field and strategic events.
  • Partner with Digital & Demand Marketing to integrate field initiatives into broader demand generation, email marketing initiatives and account-based marketing (ABM) campaigns.
  • Establish and execute field marketing plans for key federal agencies, defense customers, and strategic commercial accounts.
  • Manage and own all field marketing budgets and allocate investments based on ROI and pipeline contribution.
  • Track campaign performance using Salesforce marketing and CRM analytics, providing regular reporting to executive leadership.
  • Develop lead nurturing strategies with Sales and Marketing Operations to improve lead generation and pipeline creation sourced from field programs.
  • Build core relationships across partner ecosystems including hyperscalers, OEMs, technology alliances, and channel organizations.
  • Work closely with Merlin Ventures, CGC, and Merlin Cyber to support cross-company field marketing, events and other initiatives that reinforce Merlin's brand and ecosystem strategy.
  • Manage external agencies, contractors, and event vendors as needed.
  • Recruit, manage, and develop future field marketing talent as the organization grows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related discipline.
  • 10-12+ years of B2B enterprise technology and cybersecurity industry experience with increasing leadership responsibility is required.
  • 7-10+ years leading field and events marketing, partner marketing, demand generation, and other integrated marketing programs.
  • Experience supporting enterprise software, specifically cybersecurity, is required. Additional Cloud, AI, or emerging technology experience is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success partnering with Sales organizations to generate measurable pipeline and revenue.
  • Experience working with Salesforce CRM is required.
  • Experience working with channel partners, alliances, and technology ecosystems.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and executive presentation skills.
  • Experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot, etc.).
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25–40%.
  • Experience marketing to the U.S. Federal Government, Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, or highly regulated industries.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity, Zero Trust, cloud security, identity, AI, data security, or national security technologies.
  • Experience with email automation, digital marketing and Account-Based Marketing (ABM) platforms.
