Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the complete and accurate online presence for Visit Macon through the Visit Macon website, microsite, blogs, landing pages, and campaign-based initiatives
  • Develops and oversees all content on Visit Macon's website, including calendars, business listings, and blog posts.
  • Maintains an outstanding relationship with Visit Macon's website vendor.
  • Collaborates with marketing department to develop content management strategies.
  • Works with other departments to provide site enhancements to support sales and marketing efforts.
  • Oversees and reports on in-house Google/YouTube & Bing advertising, SEO, SEM/PPC, display and other third-party digital ad buys. Manages paid media budgets, costs/contracts, and spending. Ensures all creative represents Visit Macon's brand appropriately.
  • Provides reporting on use of website and all website-based content, and reports on web-based advertising, campaign-based initiatives, analytics, attributions and ROI.
  • Provides oversight of Visit Macon's online video channels - YouTube, Vimeo, etc.
  • Manages external relationships with specific vendors or for specific projects - advertising agencies, photographers, video suppliers, and website vendors - providing creative direction for those projects.
  • Works with outside providers to generate additional content that enhances Visit Macon's internal content calendar.
  • Maintains contact databases and distribution lists.
  • Creates and sends all Visit Macon e-newsletters, through collaboration with other departments.
  • Collaborates with the other departments to secure advertising, collateral, and creative materials.
  • Oversees Visit Macon apps and digital passes.
  • Maintains the Visit Macon video and photography library.
  • Collaborates with marketing department to create and implement projects identified in the Visit Macon marketing plan.
  • May assist Director of Marketing in oversight of interns.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in marketing, business or tourism/hospitality management
  • One to two years in related work experience
  • Experience in media buying and marketing preferred
  • Tourism or marketing industry certifications preferred
  • Must possess knowledge of principles and techniques of marketing, advertising, and promotions
  • Knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics, and PPC advertising
  • Experience with photography, video production/editing and graphics
  • Well-versed on Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft and GSuite
  • Portfolio of graphic design and/or video content
  • Experience with CRM systems (or other database management programs)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Outgoing personality with ability to collaborate with teammates
  • Strong planning, organizing and time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • High Ethical Standards
