  • Content creation and calendar management for several clients across social, web, email and digital ads
  • Trend tracking and platform shifts to keep posts current and relevant
  • Measurement and optimization through reporting and data-driven tweaks to copy, visuals, and paid campaigns

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage content calendars across multiple clients and platforms — yes, plural, yes, simultaneously
  • Stay ahead of trends, formats and platform shifts so our clients don't look like they're posting in 2019
  • Collaborate with the team and report to the Senior Media Manager to keep everything on-message and on-strategy
  • Create written, visual and video content for social, web, email and digital ads
  • Design graphics and motion content in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut or whatever tool gets it done
  • Shoot, produce and edit short-form video — Reels, TikToks, Stories, the whole deal
  • Keep client voice, brand and messaging consistent across everything that goes out the door
  • Write copy that actually makes people feel something — not corporate filler, not AI slop
  • Edit and proof everything before it goes live because typos on a client’s page are not the vibe
  • Set up and optimize paid social campaigns on Meta, DSPs and beyond

Requirements

  • 2-3 years in content creation, social media or digital marketing
  • Hands-on experience with Meta Business Suite and social management platforms
  • A portfolio with real examples of written, visual and video work (no placeholders, please)
  • Fluency in Canva, CapCut and/or Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience actually running paid social — not just "familiarity with"
  • Strong instincts for what works on each platform and why
  • The ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines without everything catching fire
  • A genuine interest in progressive politics and the issues that matter

Preferred

  • Are fluent in Spanish
  • Have campaign or advocacy org experience
  • Know your way around Google Ads or other platforms
  • Have a basic grasp of SEO

Benefits

  • Stomping Ground Strategies benefits go beyond a competitive salary to include: 401k match, financial incentives, healthcare and life-insurance at no-cost to the employee, subsidized dental and vision care, 25 paid holidays off per year, 3 weeks of paid vacation, 10 paid sick/personal days, 5 bereavement days, Summer Fridays, 4 months paid parental leave for birth or adoption, and a $3,000 stipend for employees who live outside of Illinois to travel for abortion care.
