Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Define the long-term marketing measurement strategy, establishing a 2–3 year technical roadmap aligned with company goals.
  • Develop and refine media mix models (MMM) and multi-touch attribution (MTA) systems to quantify the incremental impact of marketing efforts.
  • Design unified frameworks that optimize marketing strategies for both acquiring new advertisers and engaging new users, identifying synergies that enhance overall growth.
  • Lead the development of advanced causal inference methodologies, including complex "always-on" incrementality testing and geo-holdout experiments.
  • Measure the long-term "halo effect" of brand marketing on organic growth and community engagement.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Growth, and Finance teams to translate data insights into actionable budget and strategy adjustments.
  • Mentor junior data scientists, ensuring high standards of code quality, statistical rigor, and methodological soundness across the marketing analytics team.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging techniques in data science, econometrics, and marketing analytics to continually improve measurement frameworks.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
  • For M.S. holders: 10+ years of industry experience in marketing science, growth data science, or econometrics.
  • For Ph.D. holders: 6+ years of industry experience.
  • Deep understanding of the marketing ecosystem, including hands-on experience with Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM), Incrementality Testing, and Customer Lifetime Value (LTV) prediction.
  • Proficiency in Python or R, SQL, and experience building production-grade data pipelines.
  • Experience applying machine learning techniques for predictive modeling such as churn prediction and lead scoring.
  • Proven ability to influence C-suite stakeholders and translate complex statistical insights into strategic business recommendations.
  • Experience working in fast-paced environments, navigating ambiguity, and building frameworks from the ground up.
