Brief Summary of Role: PitchGhost is a scrappy young startup with a product our customers love, and we're in the middle of a big go-to-market push. This role owns every customer relationship after the sale: onboard them, get PitchGhost into their routine, and keep them successful for years. Your job is driving adoption and retention. Customer Success is viewed primarily as helping customers operationalize PitchGhost into repeatable business processes, not simply answering support questions.

The goal is proactive workflow design, repeatable use cases, and helping customers achieve measurable business outcomes.

Must Have Qualifications:

• 1 to 2 years in customer success or account management at a software company, where you personally owned onboarding, adoption, or retention.
• You've started, built, or run something on your own, at work or outside it.
• You follow up without being reminded.
• You can explain complicated things simply.
• You use AI tools daily. We run the company on Claude.
• Fluent English.

Nice to Have Qualifications:

• Early-stage startup experience.
• Experience working with mid-market tech companies.
• Some marketing or social media background. This role also makes our docs, videos, and changelogs.
• You've been the first or only customer success person somewhere.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Onboard every new customer and build their first Ghosts with them on the call.
• Own each account's first month: tune their goals, connect their integrations, and book the next call before hanging up the current one.
• Get more than one person at each customer using PitchGhost.
• Watch usage daily. When an account drifts, reach out with a specific idea for their business.
• Cut our monthly churn roughly in half over the next year.
• Handle support questions same-day. We don't get many.
• Run our shared Slack channels with customers.
• Make and maintain demos, how-to videos, docs, and changelogs.
• Tell the founder what customers are asking for.

Compensation:

• Base salary: $75,000
• Benefits: healthcare included, optional dental, free coffee, snacks, and lunches
• Deferred compensation: equity up to 2%
