Job Summary

Own end‑to‑end CRM marketing programs (email and SMS) from brief to deployment, own reporting and lifecycle analysis, and coordinate cross‑functional execution across content, design, copy, and tech.

  • Lead end-to-end campaigns and lifecycle initiatives
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across content, design, and development
  • Drive testing, analysis, and optimization across channels

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Build and deploy email and SMS campaigns end to end in Klaviyo: audience and segment setup, links and UTMs, render and device testing, scheduling, and pre-send QA
  • Maintain the CRM marketing calendar, traffic creative requests with our design partners, and hold timelines across content, ecommerce, and web
  • Turn strategic direction into written campaign briefs, and draft copy for recurring and evergreen sends within our established brand voice
  • Support campaign production across all sales verticals — DTC, Corporate, Catering, Retail, and Subscription (Levain Cookie Club)
  • Keep our automated flows healthy: monitor performance, catch broken merge tags, dead links, feed issues, and segment drift before customers do
  • Build and maintain segments and support ongoing list health work
  • Own recurring CRM reporting across email and SMS — weekly and monthly pulls, dashboard upkeep, and flagging performance shifts and anomalies as they happen
  • Execute a defined A/B testing roadmap (subject lines, offers, send timing, creative), and grow into proposing your own hypotheses
  • Contribute to analysis on engagement, conversion, retention, winback, and overall lifecycle performance.
  • Serve as the day-to-day owner of CRM marketing initiatives, partnering cross-functionally across content, design, copy, development, customer engagement, operations, and web teams.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-2 years hands-on email and/or SMS marketing experience at a direct-to-consumer brand
  • Demonstrated experience shipping campaigns end to end — brief through build, QA, deployment, and post-send reporting
  • Ability to build audiences and segments from a brief without a technical spec
  • Comfort with reporting and analysis: pulling numbers, spotting what changed, and explaining it clearly
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience

Preferred

  • Klaviyo experience strongly preferred; hands-on experience in another enterprise ESP (Braze, Iterable, Attentive, Bluecore, Salesforce Marketing Cloud) transfers well
  • Food, gifting, or multi-channel (retail + ecommerce) brand experience
  • Shopify familiarity
  • Working knowledge of SMS marketing compliance (quiet hours, consent, TCPA/CTIA basics)
  • Copywriting experience
  • Loyalty and referral program experience
  • Basic HTML, Google Analytics, and Excel/Sheets proficiency

Benefits

  • Health, Vision, Dental Insurance
  • Employer-funded Healthcare Reimbursement Account
  • Additional supplemental benefits: Commuter Benefits, Employee Assistance Program, Bike-Share Reimbursement
  • 14 Weeks Fully Paid Parental Leave
  • Four Weeks of Paid Time Off
  • 401K with 3.5% Company Match

Levain Bakery

3.5 Glassdoor

Pam Weekes and Connie McDonald created Levain Bakery in 1995, out of their passions for food, friendship, and hard work. Competitive swimmers and triathletes, Pam and Connie passed their workouts by engaging in passionate conversations about baking, which inspired them to open a small bread shop in 1995, which they named Levain Bakery. One day, they created an ultimate chocolate chip walnut cookie to give them energy while training for a triathlon. They decided to sell a batch in their bakery, and they flew off the shelves. An icon was born. The cozy shop on West 74th Street became a neighborhood favorite and a destination for epicurious travelers from around the world. From the start, they baked everything fresh on-site each day and donated the day’s leftovers to charity each night, actions that remain solidly in since 1995. Levain Bakery now has a handful of locations in their favorite neighborhoods across the country with more to come, as well as e-commerce gift boxes.
