Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop immersive, multi-sensory experiences aligned with each festival’s brand, audience, and cultural positioning
  • Translate abstract ideas into clear creative direction across scenic, spatial, and environmental design
  • Ensure consistency and quality across all guest-facing touchpoints, including entrances, stages, VIP areas, concessions, and sponsor integrations
  • Oversee the full design lifecycle, including master planning, schematics, design development, and construction documentation
  • Lead the end-to-end creative vision for all festival environments, from concept through execution and post-event evolution
  • Direct production, engineering, and fabrication teams to ensure creative concepts are executed with precision
  • Maintain creative integrity from render to real-world build, ensuring the final product reflects the original vision
  • Create “visual magnets” that guide guest movement and increase engagement in key revenue-generating areas
  • Lead onsite creative direction during load-in, show days, and strike
  • Identify and resolve friction points early in the design process to ensure seamless on-site experiences

Preferred

  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing creative organization, including Art Directors, Designers, Drafters, and Production teams
  • Manage a flexible ecosystem of internal staff, freelancers, fabricators, and agency partners
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Partnerships, Operations, and Production to ensure alignment across all initiatives
  • Serve as the primary creative voice in executive-level discussions and presentations
