Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead copy development from brief to launch—concepting with the creative team and executing across paid media, web, email, and product touchpoints.
  • Write and edit high-performance copy for channels including Meta, LinkedIn, Google, and OOH, balancing performance optimization with distinct brand building.
  • Develop messaging frameworks and copy guidelines that empower cross-functional partners to create on-brand work independently.
  • Collaborate with Product and Growth teams to ensure all business-wide copy reflects Alma’s positioning with clarity and specificity.
  • Review and provide feedback on copy from freelancers and external partners to maintain rigorous quality and tonal standards.
  • Lead brand positioning work, including messaging architecture and tonal development, to establish a differentiated territory in the market.

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of experience in copywriting or brand strategy (agency, in-house, or startup) with a portfolio that demonstrates range across integrated campaigns and voice development.
  • You are a prolific creator who can generate a high volume of strong concepts quickly and move from raw idea to polished copy without getting stuck in the "middle."
  • You are fluent in both strategy and craft, comfortable shifting from high-level positioning frameworks to the granular execution of a conversion email.
  • You have a fearless appetite for taking creative risks and pushing for distinct messaging, even when it means challenging safe or traditional approaches.
  • You are an exceptional editor who writes copy that is behaviorally grounded, specific, and creates immediate brand recognition.
  • You are energized by ambiguity and the challenge of building a verbal identity and organizational systems that don’t exist yet.
  • You are a collaborative communicator who can clearly articulate the strategic "why" behind your copy to creative partners, product teams, and leadership.
  • You do not need to have experience in the mental healthcare space.
