Content Strategist & Writer

Responsibilities

• Find the topics. Track startup, fundraising, AI, legaltech and fintech news and open sources every day. Turn what you find into a short list of topics worth talking about, each with a clear "why now".
• Plan the week. Every Monday, propose topics with sources to our founder and three team members who each run a personal brand (fundraising, legaltech, community, fintech). That's three topics per person.
• Write. Each week you write: - 5–7 short-form video scripts (about 60 seconds), each with 2–3 hook options, - outlines for longer YouTube videos ("How to Start", "Fundraising"), - posts for X and LinkedIn.
• Keep it true. Fact-check every claim, and flag anything that needs legal or compliance review before it goes out.
• Learn from the numbers. Keep a library of winning hooks based on 3-second hold and watch time. Every Friday, report what worked and what to change.
• Work with the team. You'll work with our Head of Growth, Videographer, our Social Media Manager (who publishes and runs engagement) and our SEO lead.

Requirements

• Based in San Francisco Bay Area, with native-level written English.
• Short-form scripts you've written, with view and retention data: links, screenshots or analytics.
• Experience writing founder, startup, business or tech content.
• Strong editorial judgement: you can tell a real story from noise, and you can say why a topic matters now.
• Range in your hooks. If every script opens the same way, it won't scale.

Preferred

• A journalism, newsroom or fact-checking background.
• Comfort with open-source research (OSINT).
• An interest in venture capital and AI.
