Community Engagement Coordinator (Temporary)

Responsibilities

• Coordinate social media content engagement across multiple platforms
• Assist in producing and curating graphics, videos, and written content specific to each platform and audience to maximize engagement and grow Joni and Friends audiences
• Post written responses/outreach across multiple digital and social media platforms
• Assist in responding to comments on paid digital ads
• Monitor social media channels
• Monitor channels and actively report and remove spam comments and accounts
• Engage in daily constituent conversations to facilitate audience care and growth
• Monitor trends in social media tools, channels, design, and strategy
• Recommend creative opportunities for engagement, including campaigns and collaborations
• Assist in identifying trends, influencers, and other collaboration opportunities for potential ministry engagement

Requirements

• Must possess a vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ and agree with the Joni and Friends statement of faith
• Desire to serve in a growing and dynamic Christian service ministry
• 2+ years of experience in a digital marketing, social media, or communications role
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Good interpersonal communication skills both verbal and written and the ability to effectively organize and prioritize a wide range of daily tasks with varied deadlines
• Understanding of social media best practices using data to inform decisions; ability to write compelling and empathetic copy across digital channels
• Commitment to accuracy with a strong sense of confidentialty
• Working competencies in MS 0365, Asana, or similar project management tools, social media platforms, and video creation tools

Preferred

• Experience creating social media graphics, video, and written content; experience managing accounts on behalf of an organization or public figure
• Understanding of Christian ministry and specifically Joni and Friends is desirable
