Job Summary

Drive communications and events for the Bhutan Foundation, owning donor communications, digital channels, and premier donor events to support fundraising and brand consistency.

  • Own donor communications, newsletters, social media, and updates end-to-end
  • Strong nonprofit comms/events experience and tools (CRM, Mailchimp, Canva)
  • Collaborate with Bhutan team to ensure consistent branding across materials

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Draft and edit communications materials including newsletters, donor updates, proposals, website content, and social media posts.
  • Manage and grow the Foundation’s social media reach through strategic content development, storytelling, and performance tracking.
  • Assist with the production of the Foundation’s annual report, impact stories, and other publications.
  • Manage digital communications including e-newsletters and email campaigns.
  • Maintain and update website content and digital communication platforms.
  • Assist with the preparation and distribution of 3–4 donor mailings per year
  • Manage and grow the Foundation’s social media
  • Assist with design and layout of communications materials using Canva or similar tools
  • Work with the Communications Team in Bhutan to maintain consistent visual and brand quality across communications
  • Lead the planning and execution of donor events and meetings

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in communications and events, or nonprofit development and fundraising.
  • Strong writing, editing and organizational skills.
  • Experience with digital communications tools for email platforms such as Mailchimp, design tools (Adobe Photoshop, Canva), social media, and website content management (WordPress etc).
  • Interest in international development, conservation, or cultural preservation.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States.

Preferred

  • Familiarity with Bhutan or Himalayan cultures is a plus.
