Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Determines strategy for website content
  • Writes, edits, and publishes content for various communication projects and marketing platforms to align with strategic initiatives and established communication campaigns
  • Monitors reach and effectiveness of communication campaigns, projects, and initiatives
  • Reviews, edits, produces, and troubleshoots content for website and online presence
  • Provides project management and execution of communications programs, initiatives, and tactical plans
  • Plans editorial content according to established goals and objects
  • Communicates with stakeholders to verify requests and identify editorial resources
  • Develops blog and social content based on local programming, events, and educational services.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in communications and/or marketing;
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, and ability to balance multiple projects at one time;
  • Demonstrated skill in written and oral communication;
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as function effectively in a team environment, including strong interpersonal skills;
  • Experience with website content management systems (e.g. WordPress);
  • Experience using graphic design tools (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite) to create promotional and/or educational for multiple audiences;
  • Proficiency with social media tools and communications strategy;
  • Proven experience in communications, marketing, and web design;

Preferred

  • Experience working within health sciences, higher education, and/or libraries;
  • Experience developing, applying, or enforcing digital accessibility standards;
