Job Summary

Lead the launch marketing for a founding HealthTech startup building mobile neurocognitive screening, shaping brand, demand, and growth with data-driven execution.

  • Must-have: 8+ years in marketing leadership in digital health or regulated consumer health
  • Standout: Founding marketing hire or co-founder experience at a startup, equity-focused
  • Hands-on execution across performance, content, and earned media with a data-driven mindset

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Define and build the company's brand from the ground up — name reveal strategy, visual identity, voice, messaging architecture, and positioning across all channels
  • Develop go-to-market strategies for three distinct audience segments: consumer (athletes and families), clinical (neurologists, sports medicine physicians, and care teams), and enterprise (health systems, payers, and senior living operators)
  • Lead demand generation and awareness campaigns that educate the market on mobile neurocognitive screening as a category — not just our product
  • Build and own the content strategy: thought leadership, clinical education, SEO, email, social, and earned media that establishes scientific credibility without sacrificing accessibility
  • Establish and grow strategic partnerships with advocacy organizations, clinical associations, sports bodies, and patient communities relevant to our target conditions
  • Drive investor communications in partnership with the CEO — pitch narrative, deck positioning, and brand materials that build confidence in the vision
  • Implement marketing analytics infrastructure from day one — attribution, cohort analysis, CAC/LTV modeling — so every campaign decision is data-informed
  • Recruit and lead a lean, high-impact marketing function as the company scales
  • Audiences you will reach: Clinicians and health systems, Seniors, families, and caregivers, Athletes, coaches, and sports organizations

Requirements

  • 8+ years in marketing leadership, with a track record of building brand and driving growth in digital health, medtech, or a similarly regulated consumer-health environment
  • Experience marketing to both consumer and clinical audiences — you understand the difference between reaching a patient and reaching a physician, and you know how to do both
  • Strong brand strategy instincts: you have built or significantly evolved a brand identity and can articulate why the choices you made were the right ones
  • Proven ability to translate complex, technical subject matter into clear, compelling narratives for non-expert audiences — without oversimplifying for expert ones
  • Hands-on experience with performance marketing, content marketing, and earned media — you are not a strategist who delegates execution; you can do both
  • Comfort operating in a regulated environment: you understand what HIPAA, FDA promotional guidelines, and off-label restrictions mean for how you can market a health product
  • A data-driven mindset — you set measurable goals, instrument your campaigns, and iterate based on evidence, not instinct alone
  • A founding temperament: you thrive with autonomy, move fast under resource constraints, and are energized by building rather than managing

Preferred

  • Experience in neurology, brain health, cognitive wellness, or mental health marketing — you already speak the language of the audience
  • Established relationships with health journalists, clinical key opinion leaders, or patient advocacy organizations in relevant disease areas
  • Background in category creation marketing — you have helped define a new market, not just competed in an existing one
  • Familiarity with medical conference strategy, clinical society engagement, and peer-channel marketing
  • Prior experience as a founding marketing hire or marketing co-founder at a venture-backed startup

Benefits

  • Founding equity stake — you will co-own the brand you build
  • A blank canvas: no legacy positioning to undo, no conflicting brand guidelines to navigate, no campaigns already in flight
  • A $4.2B market with no established voice — you get to define what neurocognitive screening means to the world
  • A mission that markets itself: early detection of neurological disease is a story that matters to nearly every family on earth
  • A founding team with deep scientific and technical credibility to amplify, not compensate for
  • Remote-first and flexible by design
