  • Our specialists handle execution across paid media, creative, tracking, infrastructure, and operations.
  • You own the bigger picture.
  • You'll work directly with founders and executives to diagnose problems, set priorities, coordinate our internal team, and create a clear path toward profitable growth.
  • What You'll Own You will be the strategic owner of your client portfolio.
  • That includes: Owning overall account performance; Developing the strategy for scaling client acquisition; Leading client strategy calls; Managing relationships with founders and executives; Understanding the economics behind every account; Diagnosing performance bottlenecks; Identifying why accounts aren't scaling; Developing action plans when performance declines; Identifying opportunities when accounts are ready to scale; Coordinating media buyers, creative strategists, tracking specialists, and operations; Prioritizing what the internal team works on; Monitoring account and infrastructure risks; Understanding attribution discrepancies across platforms; Maintaining strong client communication during volatile periods; Helping protect client retention through leadership and performance; Identifying expansion opportunities within successful accounts; You don't simply report what happened; You determine what should happen next.

Requirements

  • This Is Not a Normal eCommerce Agency Role Growing Pains Marketing specializes in some of the most difficult categories to advertise and scale online .
  • We work with brands operating in policy-sensitive, regulated, restricted, and high-friction industries — categories where a strategy that works perfectly for a normal apparel or supplement brand can fall apart overnight.
  • Think: Hemp / CBD; Research compounds (Peptides/RUO); Nicotine alternatives; TRT and men's health; Ketamine and emerging wellness; Other policy-sensitive health and wellness categories; Restricted or highly scrutinized eCommerce offers
  • We aren’t looking for someone whose experience stops at scaling shoes, skincare, or ordinary DTC products.
  • We're looking for someone who understands the unique realities of scaling businesses where advertising restrictions, platform enforcement, account stability, creative limitations, attribution, compliance, infrastructure, and customer acquisition all collide.
  • If you've successfully operated in these environments, you'll understand why this role is different.
  • You are not primarily a media buyer.
  • You are the person responsible for understanding: What is preventing this account from scaling — and what do we do next?
  • Restricted-Category Experience Matters
  • You need to understand that performance can be affected by far more than: CPM + CTR + CVR = ROAS.

Preferred

  • Strong Preference Candidates with direct experience successfully scaling brands in CBD/hemp, research compounds, nicotine, telehealth, men’s health, alternative wellness, or similarly restricted advertising categories will receive strong preference.
