Job Summary

Own the end-to-end visual content pipeline for Tonal, translating briefs into on-brand hero assets and managing production from plan to delivery across multiple channels.

  • Content Ownership: Build and manage photo and video shoots for web, social, and retail with channel-led briefs.
  • Production & Talent: Collaborate with studio teams and on-camera talent to deliver authentic, on-brand visuals while optimizing on-set efficiency.
  • Channel Fit: Ensure visuals align with format and context across formats and audiences without losing visual integrity.

Job Description

Responsibilities - Shoot and produce photo and video content for use across web, retail, organic social, paid media, email, events, and out-of-home - Work with Brand team to concept and execute original visual stories that bring the Tonal brand to life across formats and audiences - Get inputs from channel leads and campaign leads to translate briefs into hero and supporting visual assets while ensuring content is optimized for each channel without losing visual integrity - Be involved in the full production process end-to-end, from pre-production planning and shot lists through capture, editing, and final delivery - Partner closely with Tonal's studio production team to identify opportunities to capture brand and marketing content alongside existing fitness content shoots — maximizing time on set - Cultivate meaningful connections and trust with on-camera talent to ensure every capture feels genuine and authentic - Stay current with visual trends across fitness, wellness, and lifestyle Requirements - 5+ years of professional photography and videography experience, ideally for consumer brands - A portfolio that demonstrates range — lifestyle, social, product, and motion — with a clear and confident visual point of view - Strong post-production skills across photo and video editing (Adobe Creative Suite; Premiere, Lightroom, Photoshop, Canva, Capcut) - Experience shooting for multiple end uses with an understanding of how format and context shape creative decisions - Ability to work independently on shoots, including self-directed lighting, sound, and direction of talent when needed - Collaborative, with a clear process for taking and giving creative feedback and iterating efficiently - Strong communicator who can build trust with producers, directors, and crew and integrate seamlessly into an established team culture - Willing to come in to our New York studio to shoot with talent, and willing to travel for shoots when needed - Knowledge of AI creative tools a plus - Passion for fitness, health, or wellness preferred Nice to Have - Knowledge of AI creative tools a plus - Passion for fitness, health, or wellness preferred Benefits - health insurance, retirement savings benefits, life insurance and disability benefits, flexible paid time off, parental leave, and other additional benefits.
