Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Brand Growth & Planning: Drive consumer demand and achieve business objectives for Dove (Haircare, Skincare) in the US. Translate multi-year brand growth plans into a comprehensive Brand Marketing Plan to deliver annual targets, acting as the guardian of these plans. Define the brand communications strategy and partner with the Brand Director to brief and lead the creative development of tentpole campaigns. Partner with the product innovation team to ensure sufficient quantity and quality of innovations to fuel demand creation, landing them with excellence and investment sufficiency.
  • Social-First Strategy & Trend Expertise: Champion a digital-first, social-first approach to brand building and consumer engagement. Act as the brand's expert on the US social media landscape, possessing an intimate understanding of local market culture, communities, and platforms, with a particular focus on beauty trends. Lead brand culture squads—integrating marketing, Consumer Market Insights, media, performance, and shopper marketing—to read data signals and optimize brand plans in real-time, at the speed of social media.
  • Agency Ecosystem & Content Excellence: Build and manage a focused agency ecosystem to create and curate sufficient quantity, quality, and diversity of content across all touchpoints. Manage the content lead overseeing the execution of the Dove US B&W content strategy, keeping cultural nuances and social trends at the forefront. Ensure all content is data-driven, aligned with brand goals, and optimized based on performance metrics to achieve engagement objectives.
  • Team Leadership & Talent Development: Lead and inspire a team of 3+ specialists across content creation, community management, influencer marketing, PR, and experiential marketing. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence in execution within the team, ensuring clear direction and high-quality output.
  • Cross-Functional & Masterbrand Collaboration: Partner with Dove Masterbrand specialists (Skin Cleansing, Deodorants) both globally and locally to unlock Masterbrand growth. Apply business strategy to make investment trade-offs and analyze the impact of marketing activations on brand results (equity and sales) across the portfolio.

Requirements

  • 8–10+ years of progressive marketing experience, with a focus on beauty, fashion, or lifestyle categories
  • Proven track record in social-first content strategy, execution, and driving consumer engagement and conversion
  • Strong expertise in agency management, including briefing, collaboration, and high-quality output delivery
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and provide clear direction to internal teams and external agencies
  • Deep understanding of the US social media landscape, cultural nuances, and beauty trends
  • Strong understanding of beauty products, ingredients, and industry terminology across haircare and skincare
  • Proficiency in data-driven decision making, including using analytics to measure performance, derive insights, and optimize content strategy
  • Mastery of visual storytelling and compelling, beauty-focused copywriting for social, video, and editorial formats
  • Bachelor’s degree

Preferred

  • Experience leading content creation with an understanding of platform nuances and trends
  • Experience running a brand or business segment with accountability for investment trade-offs and marketing impact analysis
  • Demonstrable experience using generative AI tools for content creation and innovation
