Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Assist in all operational duties of the Community Manager, including reporting, rent processing, leasing, marketing, and overseeing the community and associates in the Community Manager's absence.

  • Provide A+ customer service at all times and promote resident satisfaction and retention by responding to complaints, questions, and requests in a timely manner and resolving issues.
  • Serve as a resource center for residents on matters affecting community living and timely rent payments.
  • Organize and execute resident appreciation and retention events.
  • Maintain secured confidential files for each resident.
  • Assist with leasing duties, including touring prospective residents.
  • Handle all property monies: collect, post, and deposit rents, security deposits, and other income.
  • Review resident files and ledger records to determine unpaid or late fees, communicate with residents, and enforce lease terms and delinquencies procedures.

Requirements

  • 2+ years’ experience as an Assistant Community Manager.
  • LIHTC/Tax Credit& Project Based Section 8 Program Knowledge required.
  • Equipped with excellent communication skills and an unmatched dedication to customer service.
  • Solid track record of bookkeeping and rent collection.
  • Thorough understanding of landlord/tenant law.
  • Strong Understanding of Fair Housing Laws.
  • Superior interpersonal skills: ability to get along with diverse personalities; tactful; mature, flexible.
  • Resourceful and organized.
  • Solid computer knowledge, Windows (Word, Excel,) internet and e-mail.
  • Working knowledge of Yardi Voyager Property Management software.
