Job Summary

Own the athletics marketing, communications, and game day operations, aligning brand, social, website, video, and event execution with NCAA rules and strategic planning.

  • Own department marketing, social strategy, site management, game-day materials, stats, and event operations.
  • Coordinate with conference staff, visiting teams, media, and senior leadership for consistent messaging and compliance.
  • Leverage video production, livestreaming, game-day tech, and reporting to drive engagement and operational excellence.

Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Lead all athletic department marketing and communications efforts.
  • Develop and execute social media strategies for varsity athletic programs.
  • Manage the athletics website, including:
  • Schedules and results
  • Team rosters
  • Game recaps
  • Feature stories
  • Create promotional materials and game-day programs.
  • Oversee game statistics and reporting.
  • Distribute box scores and electronic files to:
  • Visiting teams
  • Conference offices
  • Media outlets
  • Maintain communication with UMAC conference staff and peer institutions.
  • Coordinate video production and live-streaming operations.
  • Manage game-day technology, hardware, and software.
  • Support and oversee event management and game-day operations.
  • Attend home athletic events as required.
  • Serve on the athletics senior leadership team.
  • Assist with strategic planning initiatives.
  • Hire, train, and supervise:
  • Student workers
  • Interns
  • Graduate assistants
  • Volunteers
  • Participate in professional development opportunities.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by the Executive irector of Athletics.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and demonstrated experience in athletic administration, sports communications, event management, or related park board or sports roles required.
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Ability to communicate the mission and vision of North Central University to student-athletes.
  • Knowledge and ability of the use of technological resources including a wide variety of computer programs and applications.
  • Knowledge of compliance rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge of institutional budgets and ability to manage fiscal responsibilities.
  • Ability to work well with a variety of diverse personalities and departments.
  • Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge of managing practical fiscal responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of athletics, marketing, fundraising with insights as they relate to present trends and society.
  • Ability to plan, organize, conduct and participate in effective staff meetings.
Preferred
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Previous experience in external operations is ideal
