Support a boutique cultural PR practice by assisting media outreach, partner research, and portfolio prep for contemporary artists, with exposure to brand partnerships, events, and client communications.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Draft press releases, artist bios, and media pitches
  • Research and build media lists targeting art, culture, and lifestyle outlets
  • Monitor press coverage and compile media reports
  • Assist with press kit development and digital assets
  • Research potential brand partners aligned with artist clients
  • Help develop partnership decks and activation concepts
  • Conduct competitive analysis of cultural brand collaborations
  • Support outreach to hotels, galleries, art fairs, and cultural institutions
  • Research gallery representation opportunities for artists
  • Track art fair applications, deadlines, and requirements

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a Bachelor's program (Art History, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Arts Management, or related field)
  • Genuine passion for contemporary art and cultural trends
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments
  • Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive)
  • Social media savvy (Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok)
  • Available for 15-20 hours per week (flexible scheduling)

Preferred

  • Previous internship or coursework in PR, marketing, or arts management
  • Familiarity with the contemporary art market (galleries, museums, art fairs)
  • Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or design tools
  • Personal interest in collecting art or attending exhibitions
  • Understanding of brand partnerships and sponsorship models
  • Connections or knowledge of the Los Angeles art scene
  • Experience attending or working at art fairs
