Job Summary

Own end-to-end content creation and publishing for UK Alumni Association, focusing on capturing events and alumni stories, editing short-form video, and coordinating social media across digital platforms.

  • Content capture and production: photography, videography, and post‑production for events and stories.
  • Social publishing and engagement: draft copy, schedule posts, monitor performance in collaboration with the marketing team.
  • Video and graphic creation: edit short-form video content and graphics for social channels.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • The University of Kentucky Alumni Association is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Temporary Social Media and Digital Content Coordinator to support communications efforts.
  • Photographing and filming alumni events
  • Editing short-form videos and graphics
  • Drafting social media copy
  • Monitoring engagement
  • Assisting with content planning and scheduling
  • Work closely with the communications and marketing team to capture and produce content for all digital platforms
  • Capture and produce content for all digital platforms

Requirements

  • High School
  • Strong photography and videography skills
  • Experience managing social media platforms
  • Experience using DSLR or mirrorless cameras and professional photo/video equipment
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva or similar editing software
  • Ability to create engaging short-form video content for social media
  • Strong written communication and storytelling skills
  • Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends for events
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to operate camera

Preferred

  • Some college
  • Familiarity with university, alumni or nonprofit communications is a plus
