Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Focal point and key interface between customers, field sales, marketing, and engineering to enable successful customer integration and design wins.
  • Achieve revenue growth and margin goals for product line.
  • Travel to customer sites (with local sales and/or applications staff) to discuss or present application solutions, define integration specifics, present performance data, or coordinate product installation and testing.
  • Provide timely responses to customers, both internal and external, for commercial and technical information related to the vacuum isolation valve products.
  • Generate, review, and price special customer configurations. Assist Sales and Customer Service in providing product quotations to customers.
  • Contribute to short and long term product development and improvement plans by actively collecting market intelligence related to the new emerging technology and competitive activities, maintaining an awareness of MKS markets, customers, sales opportunities, competitors and products.
  • Prepare, conduct and participate in training and education programs focusing on product capabilities and applications.
  • Develop sales tools such as product release packages, applications notes, competitive information, and marketing collateral
  • Prepare and deliver analysis and presentations for internal business management reviews
  • Travel Requirements: Up to 25% of Travel domestically and internationally is required.

Requirements

  • B.S. in an Engineering or Physical Science, M.S. preferred
  • 5 years related experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills for working with customers and in-house MKS personnel.
  • Experience, knowledge, or ability to learn vacuum technology, gas handling safety, thermal analysis, and chemistry is required.
  • Must be able to operate ‘hands-on’ as necessary when working at customer locations, or internal labs
  • Proficient in MS office and computer skills

Preferred

  • 5-10 years in technical customer support or applications engineering
  • 5-10 years of experience with Semiconductor Deposition or etch tools, Reactive Gas Systems, or vacuum deposition systems.
  • Experience working in or supporting a production semiconductor fab is a plus.
