Job Summary

Own communications content and calendar coordination to promote program impact and donor storytelling across social, newsletters, and websites.

  • Content and storytelling stewardship: gather stories, draft updates, and ensure consistent brand voice across channels.
  • Calendar and asset management: maintain a prioritized content calendar and coordinate with teams for timely updates.
  • Basic analytics support: track engagement on social, email, and web to inform next steps for the CDO.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Support implementation of the organization’s communications and marketing plan.
  • Assist in maintaining brand consistency across all materials and platforms.
  • Coordinate with staff to gather content, stories, and program updates.
  • Provide administrative and project support for communications and development efforts.
  • Draft and edit content for social media, newsletters, email communications, and website updates.
  • Assist in developing marketing materials including flyers, brochures, and event promotions.
  • Capture and organize photos, stories, and program highlights for use in communications.
  • Support development of donor-facing content including acknowledgements and impact stories.
  • Maintain and update website and social media channels with current and engaging content.
  • Assist in managing a content calendar aligned with organizational priorities.

Requirements

  • 0–2 years of experience in marketing, communications, social media, or related field (internships and volunteer experience count)
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Comfort using social media platforms and basic digital communication tools

Preferred

  • Associate’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered
  • Experience with Canva, email marketing platforms, or website tools a plus
  • Positive attitude, creativity, and willingness to learn
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders professionally
