Job Description

Responsibilities

Lead Waymo's marketing strategy for the UK across brand, product positioning, and audience targeting, overseeing local marketing execution in partnership with our Global Brand, Growth, Creative, and Media teams
With our UK marketing agenices, build resonate integrated campaigns, guiding creative, media approach, budget, and performance management
Bring deep understanding of cultural context, competitive dynamics, and local insights to ensure tone and manner is locally resonant across UK marketing touchpoints
Collaborate closely with Waymo PR, Product, Operations, Policy, and Regulatory teams to ensure alignment on how the product is messaged, managed, and scaled effectively for long-term success
Over time, recruit, hire, and oversee a high-performing UK-based team
Ensure UK learnings and best practices are well understood by US-based global leads to inform global brand decisions

Requirements

15+ years in brand and/or product marketing within a B2C tech or app-based company
Proven experience driving customer adoption of new or complex consumer products
Deep expertise with the UK consumer landscape, especially a strong understanding of local consumer needs, culture, and creative
Strong track record communicating and influencing at the executive-level
Experience managing agencies, setting KPIs, and leading marketing campaigns with accountability for measurable results
Willingness to travel at least quarterly to the San Francisco Bay Area for training and collaboration with global team
Willingness to travel globally as required. (~ 20%)

Preferred

Experience at a ride-hailing, automotive, mobility, or marketplace company
Experience launching or scaling products in international markets, ensuring brands reinforce global brand values while resonating with local audiences
Ability to balance long-term strategy with hands-on execution in a dynamic, early-stage or evolving market environment
A portfolio of impactful, consumer-facing marketing campaigns targeted towards UK audiences
Collaborative leadership skills and the ability to influence ad agencies and cross-functional teams
Impactful communication, negotiation, and people management skills
