Senior Internal Communications Officer (Full Time) (Temporary)

Responsibilities

• As a senior member of the Corporate Communications team, you will be working with the council’s leadership to promote employer brand and the aims and achievements of the council to staff and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• You will have a relevant degree or equivalent qualification
• previous experience of working in an internal communications and staff engagement environment
• experience designing and developing internal communications channels
• line management and project management experience
• extensive knowledge of a variety of communications channels
• the ability to create engaging content across various digital platforms
• IT, communication, presentation and analytical skills with highly developed report-writing and presentation skills
• the ability to build relationships with and influence senior managers from other departments
• exercise initiative, work well without close supervision, and work to tight deadlines
• you must have a full driving licence

Preferred

• Knowledge and understanding of current policy issues and developments affecting local government and the wider public-sector environment are desirable
