Job Summary

Own a content-creation and brand-asset pipeline for public-safety communications, turning complex topics into clear, consistent material across blogs, social channels, and campaigns while applying SEO best practices.

Content Production: Write, edit, and proofread blogs, social content, campaigns, and external communications to ensure clarity and brand alignment.
Asset Packaging: Translate written content into multimedia assets and format decks and collateral for internal/external use.
Channel & SEO Enablement: Apply SEO/AEO/GEO best practices, monitor social channels, and support media outreach to improve visibility.

Write, edit and proofread content for blogs, social media, campaigns, websites and external communications
Apply SEO/AEO/GEO best practices to published content and website
Assist in drafting media outreach materials and communications assets as needed
Support social media through content creation and channel monitoring
Maintain consistency with brand guidelines across written and visual materials
Translate written content into clear, visually effective multimedia assets
Build and format PowerPoint presentations and collateral for internal and external use
Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Pursuing Associate’s, Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Digital Media or a related field preferred
Strong writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail
Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word with the ability to create polished and engaging presentations and documents
A creative and innovative mindset paired with strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Based in the Lexington/Columbia, SC area preferred

Preferred

Light visual storytelling and layout design skills; experience with image editing or creative design tools is considered an asset
Interest in public safety technology and emerging tools including AI and drones
