Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Web Management
  • Oversee the daily management, maintenance, and performance of California Western’s websites, ensuring timely updates, functionality, accessibility, and compliance with brand standards.
  • Monitor and resolve technical issues, broken links, and website challenges to maintain a seamless digital presence.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with the website vendor, managing maintenance, updates, and issue resolution.
  • Develop and deliver CMS training and best practices for web administrators across campus.
  • Collaborate with the Director to establish website governance plans, workflows, permissions, and review processes.
  • Create and maintain schedules for ongoing website audits, departmental updates, and process documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws, including accessibility, copyright, and web hosting requirements.
  • Lead and support website enhancements, structural updates, and design improvements, including new page elements, landing pages, and redesign initiatives.
  • Manage cross-functional web projects by coordinating timelines, deliverables, responsibilities, and communication among departments and external partners.
  • Collaborate with campus stakeholders to design, prototype, and improve user interface and user experience across websites and microsites.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Must have at least three (3) years of experience in content management systems, preferably Modern Campus, including developing, managing and implementing web strategies that fulfill overall marketing communications needs.
  • Proficiency with Google Analytics is required.
  • Experience with data monitoring and analysis for strategic content recommendations for SEO and GEO required.
  • Must have a strong understanding of industry trends and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Ability to collaborate with marketing teams, stakeholders and vendors is required.
  • Experience in website management and user training is required.
  • Website marketing or management in the higher education environment and/or the legal field is a plus.
  • Must be able to collaborate with creative team to ensure integration of print and web communications.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in layout, typography, production, and understanding of design principles.
  • Experience with data analysis, database systems, and effective internet research techniques.
  • Proficiency in design tools, including Adobe Creative Suite, and software, including Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of web analytics and SEO tools, including Google Analytics, is required.
  • Knowledge of SEO and GEO best practices, web analytics interpretation, and implementation is required.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript.
  • Understanding of web accessibility standards, including WCAG and ADA compliance.
  • Understanding of web development workflows and database-driven environments.
  • Understanding of usability-focused UI/UX design standards.

Nice To Have

  • Experience in website management in the higher education environment and/or the legal field is a plus.
  • Strong creative design background as well as a deep understanding of UI/UX best practices is a plus.
