Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Marketplace Growth - Develop marketing programs that grow both sides of the marketplace — attracting quality guests and building relationships with podcasts and hosts who want strong guest pipelines. - Own positioning and messaging for the marketplace product, and continuously test what resonates with each side of that two-sided audience.Build repeatable lead generation motions (content, outbound, partnerships, referral) to keep guest and podcast supply growing in tandem . B2B Production Client Acquisition - Build the go-to-market strategy for our end-to-end podcast production service, targeting B2B marketing and executive leaders who are evaluating podcasting as a channel.Develop case studies, sales collateral, and proof points (drawing on our own shows and existing client results) that make the ROI of B2B podcasting tangible to prospective clients.Partner closely with sales/business development to align marketing-sourced pipeline with close rates, and refine targeting based on what's actually converting . Brand & Content - Own Executive Media Network's brand voice and presence across our website, our own podcast portfolio, LinkedIn, and other chan nels.Use our own shows as a marketing engine — turning episodes into clips, posts, and content that demonstrates the quality of our production work.Build a content strategy (thought leadership, guides, playbooks) that positions Executive Media Network as a category leader in B2B podcasting. Team & Function Building - Stand up the marketing function's foundational systems — reporting, attribution, tooling — so growth is measurable from day one. - Hire, manage, and grow a small team (or network of contractors/agencies) as budget and traction justify it.Report on marketing performance and pipeline contribution directly to the founder.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in B2B marketing, with experience owning strategy end-to-end (not just execution) — ideally including some time at a company with a services or marketplace business model, or both.Experience marketing to two distinct buyer types at once (e.g., a marketplace, platform, or agency with multiple audiences) is a strong plus.A genuine point of view on B2B content and demand generation — you should have opinions about what makes B2B content actually work, not just a list of channels you've run. Comfort with ambiguity and a builder's mindset; you'll be creating the playbook, not inheriting one. Strong writing and storytelling skills — you should be someone who could write a compelling LinkedIn post or case study yourself, even if you're not doing all of it long-term. Familiarity with (or genuine enthusiasm for) podcasting as a medium is a plus, though not required on day one.
