Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Own HubSpot's growth strategy and find what's next. Set the strategy for how HubSpot creates and captures demand across paid, organic, AI, and emerging channels. Choose where to invest, pull back, and experiment across our SMB and upmarket businesses. Constantly look for new opportunities, test them quickly, and scale the ones that work.
  • Reinvent search and AI discovery. Lead HubSpot's strategy across traditional search and emerging AI discovery experiences. Protect and grow our organic search position while building the capabilities, experiments, and playbook required to drive visibility, recommendations, and demand in AI.
  • Transform performance marketing. Reinvent how HubSpot uses paid advertising to create and capture demand across our SMB and upmarket businesses. Modernize measurement and harness data and AI to improve targeting, accelerate creative testing and personalization, and maximize short- and long-term returns, while finding and scaling new sources of profitable growth.
  • Turn growth insights into product opportunities. Partner with Product to turn new customer behaviors and unmet needs into new ways to acquire customers and, where the opportunity exists, entirely new products or features.
  • Build an exceptional growth organization. Attract, develop, and lead an exceptional team with a high bar for curiosity, accountability, and execution. Stay close enough to challenge assumptions and accelerate decisions while empowering leaders to own big problems. Use AI and automation to help the team experiment, learn, and execute faster. Build a culture where the standard isn't activity, it's impact.

Requirements

  • You've built growth at a meaningful scale. You've led acquisition, performance marketing, organic growth, or related functions and can point to material business outcomes you've created.
  • You've created growth where there wasn't an existing playbook. You've spotted emerging channels, technologies, or shifts in customer behavior early, formed a point of view, experimented quickly, and turned the strongest signals into meaningful growth.
  • You have deep search and acquisition instincts. You understand what it takes to win across search and paid acquisition, and have a strong point of view on how AI search, LLMs, agents, and new discovery experiences are changing how brands get found, recommended, and chosen.
  • You think like an investor. You understand the economics of growth and know how to allocate people and dollars across a portfolio of opportunities. You're fluent in incrementality, returns, CAC, attribution, and pipeline economics—and can balance near-term performance with longer-term bets without waiting for perfect information.
  • You're an exceptional leader. You've led leaders, built high-performing teams, attracted exceptional talent, and set a high bar. You know how to stay close to the work without becoming the bottleneck.
  • You can operate across different growth models. You understand both high-volume self-service and sales-assisted growth and can build strategies for different customer segments, ideally in B2B SaaS.
  • You're an influential executive and cross-functional partner. You turn complex problems into clear decisions, communicate with conviction, and can influence senior leaders across Product, Sales, Finance, Data, and Marketing.

Preferred

  • Experience turning growth or customer insights into new products, features, or business opportunities.
  • Experience with marketing engineering, automation, or using AI to fundamentally change how marketing work gets done.
