Volunteer Marketer unpaid position

Responsibilities

• Create, schedule, and publish engaging content across: Facebook Instagram Our website
• Promote upcoming fundraising events, campaigns, volunteer opportunities, and community outreach activities.
• Regularly recognize and highlight sponsors, donors, volunteers, and community partners.
• Keep all social media platforms current with fresh, relevant content.
• Update the organization's website with news, events, photos, and announcements.
• Develop strategies to increase followers, engagement, and community awareness.
• Respond to comments and messages as appropriate.
• Capture and share the impact of our nonprofit through stories, photos, and videos.
• Collaborate with board members and volunteers on marketing initiatives.
• Assist with creating digital flyers, graphics, and promotional materials when needed.

Requirements

• Experience is required.
• Applicants should have demonstrated experience managing social media for a business, nonprofit, or organization.

Preferred

• Experience growing social media followers and engagement.
• Knowledge of Facebook and Instagram marketing.
• Experience updating websites (Google Sites, WordPress, Wix, or similar platforms).
• Strong writing and communication skills.
• Ability to create engaging social media content.
• Familiarity with Canva or similar graphic design tools.
• Self-motivated, organized, dependable, and able to work independently.
• Passion for supporting nonprofit organizations and community outreach.
