Responsibilities

• Researching investing, AI, and macroeconomic topics to inform each video's script, working alongside a research contractor as needed
• Fact-checking data points, charts, and claims before a script moves into production
• Sourcing relevant visuals, graphics, and video clips. A video is a collection of visuals; not words on a page. 10 interesting visual charts beat 10 pages of words any day for us.
• Writing video scripts and outlines that translate the visual research into clear, engaging narratives for a financially savvy audience
• Reviewing rough cuts against the script to confirm the intended narrative comes through in the edit
• Coordinating the production timeline across research, filming, and editing to keep each video on schedule
• Working directly with the channel's editor to flag any gaps between the script and the final cut
• Flagging pipeline bottlenecks or delays early, before they affect the publish date
• Following established SOPs for the content pipeline in ClickUp
• Helping refine those SOPs as the process matures

Requirements

• You have demonstrated experience writing for video (YouTube scripts, video essays, documentary-style narration), not primarily article or blog writing
• You have a genuine interest in technology, stock investing, and economics, and enjoy researching those topics, not just writing about them once someone else hands you the notes
• You have experience coordinating a production timeline or working inside a content pipeline
• You're self-directed and deadline-driven, comfortable managing multiple videos at different pipeline stages at once
• You communicate clearly and proactively, flagging problems before they become bottlenecks
