Lead BGCSF’s marketing and public relations as a senior marketing leader focused on brand, digital strategy, and stakeholder engagement.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Own brand management and messaging across print, digital, and events.
  • Develop and communicate effective and consistent messaging about BGCSF’s mission, youth development strategy, programs, impact, and history.
  • Manage and direct on-stage production of events (two major event productions and at least one minor production).
  • Collaborate closely with development and program staff to support BGCSF’s goals through marketing and communications tactics.
  • With the Marketing Committee of the Board, develop a comprehensive public relations strategy including digital assets and media initiatives.
  • Optimize opportunities for brand visibility across government relations, member/family relations, employment, volunteer relations, and co-branded campaigns.
  • Develop an annual communication calendar across all channels.
  • Provide a strong and consistent voice for marketing and PR, ensuring adherence to messaging standards and protocols.
  • Ensure staff are trained on key brand messaging and brand guidelines.
  • Develop comprehensive digital marketing strategies supporting fundraising and core business objectives.

Requirements

  • BS/BA from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum 10 years of combined experience in marketing and communication with nonprofit experience
  • Communications and public relations strategy
  • Digital strategy and digital performance marketing strategy
  • Brand management
  • Basic online marketing/website management and maintenance experience
  • Strong skills with G-Suite, Adobe, and Canva; ability to learn other tools
  • Project management, initiative, responsibility, and ownership
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills with editing capability
  • Strong nonprofit motivation and ability to engage diverse constituents
  • Ability to multi-task, work hands-on, and operate under budget constraints

Preferred

  • BS/BA in Marketing or Communications or related field
  • At least five years of management experience and ability to influence peers without formal authority
  • Joy for the mission and strong interest in BGCSF work
  • Visual presentation of messaging across photos, videos, and branding
  • Experience developing marketing and promotional videos
