Job Summary

Lead retention optimization for a CPG subscription practice, driving LTV improvements through audits, roadmaps, and lifecycle design.

  • Must-have: 3–5+ years in Lifecycle/Retention with quantified wins in opt-in, churn, CLTV, and/or AOV.
  • Standout: Cross-functional leadership delivering data-backed roadmaps and executive-ready insights.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Audit & Insights – Lead comprehensive LTV/subscription audits; surface root-cause findings across traffic, CR, AOV, opt-in, churn, and lifecycle contribution; distill insights into clear opportunity statements.
  • Strategic Road-mapping – Translate audit results into 6–12-month roadmaps: define hypotheses, impact/effort scores, business cases, and success metrics for web, offer, and lifecycle initiatives.
  • Offer, Subscription, and Retention Design – Recommend data-backed offer architecture (e.g., first vs. recurring discount strategy, bundle tiers, delivery frequency cadence, and value-added perks) and define site-wide subscription UX best practices. Partner with client teams and/or vendors to scope and support implementation. Recommend and assist clients in the creation of lifecycle retention strategies across Email and SMS, including onboarding, replenishment, churn prevention, winback, and upsell/cross-sell flows, ensuring alignment with overall subscription and LTV growth objectives.
  • Analytics & Performance Steering – Own retention KPI dashboards, set improvement targets, synthesize test results, and refine roadmaps; present concise monthly insight decks to executives.
  • Client & Project Management – Act as day-to-day strategic lead: run weekly client status calls, manage timelines and owners in Asana, coordinate cross-functional partners (dev, creative, lifecycle, app vendors), and ensure priority initiatives ship on schedule.

Requirements

  • Retention Leadership: 3–5+ years as Lifecycle or Retention Manager at a CPG brand with strong subscription growth (ideally in the supplement space), with quantified wins in opt-in, churn, CLTV, and/or AOV.
  • Platform Fluency: Hands-on experience with Shopify plus 1-2 subscription apps (e.g., Recharge, Skio, Loop, stay.ai, etc.) and lifecycle/optimization stack (Klaviyo, SMS, Rebuy, analytics).
  • Analytical Rigor: Advanced cohort & offer modeling skills (Sheets/Excel); ability to translate data into executive-level recommendations.
  • Project & Stakeholder Management: Proven record orchestrating cross-functional teams, vendors, and clients to meet aggressive timelines.
  • Communication: Crisp written & verbal skills; adept at building concise memos, roadmaps, and insight decks for senior stakeholders.
