Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Positioning & Market Development: Develop deep knowledge of leadership, staff capabilities, and project portfolio to inform pursuit and market strategy; Help define and refine positioning in target sectors and geographies; Identify emerging markets and thought leadership opportunities; lead prioritization of these markets; Contribute to strategic hiring and M&A discussions
  • High-Impact Pursuits: Partner with Leadership to direct and shape marquee pursuits from early positioning through final presentation; Curate pursuit teams strategically; Production of the packages and collateral by shared services; Guide development of resonant messaging, portfolio selection, and differentiating narratives; Support senior leaders in crafting compelling presentations and interview strategies
  • Client Experience & Relationship Building: Elevate approach to trusted advisor; Build deeper relationships with owners, institutions, and agencies; Provide insight into how architects and design partners think; Identify effective thought leadership platforms that differentiate from routine efforts
  • Internal Leadership & Culture: Partner with Sector Leadership across North America; Support Sector Managers in market growth strategies; Collaborate with Senior Manager of Client Experience and Marketing for GI Buildings; Travel across offices to understand team strengths; Inspire teams to think bigger and perform; Strengthen alignment between Sector strategy and corporate marketing structures

Requirements

  • Strategic thinker with deep experience in the design and architecture ecosystem
  • Comfortable working directly with leadership on positioning, staffing, and growth strategy
  • Experienced in building and scaling high-performing offices or practices
  • Skilled at bridging design vision and technical delivery
  • Energized by collaborative culture and invested in helping teams succeed
  • Capable of thinking expansively while remaining pragmatic and supportive in execution
  • Understanding how great design firms differentiate themselves through clarity of vision, intentional team building, and strategic storytelling
