Responsibilities

• Assist in the acknowledgment process for donors contributing gifts under $1,000, including preparing and sending personalized thank-you notes, emails, and acknowledgment letters.
• Help maintain a consistent donor stewardship calendar across Atlanta Humane, Operation Humane, and Remedy, ensuring regular communication and meaningful donor touchpoints.
• Support donor retention efforts by sharing updates on the impact of gifts and the organization’s activities.
• Accurately document donor interactions, preferences, and contributions in the CRM system (Salesforce).
• Assist in generating reports on stewardship efforts and donor engagement for internal use.
• Provide administrative and communication support for the recurring donor program, including retention strategies, impact updates, acknowledgment processes, and donor requests.
• Assist in segmenting donor lists for targeted appeals, acknowledgments, and stewardship touchpoints, ensuring appropriate personalization of outreach.
• Regularly review and update donor records to ensure data accuracy and consistency, especially for acknowledgment, mailing, and reporting purposes.
• Provide support for direct mail campaigns across Atlanta Humane, Operation Humane, and Remedy, including helping with mailing lists, proofreading materials, tracking deadlines, and other campaign-related tasks as needed.
• Support the preparation of materials for donor events, recognition programs, stewardship initiatives, and fundraising campaigns.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in nonprofit management, fundraising, communications, or a related field preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in donor stewardship, customer service, fundraising, or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Intermediate knowledge of CRM and fundraising systems (e.g., Salesforce, Stripe, GoFundMe Pro).
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
