Job Summary

Own the onboarding strategy for Advanced customers and partner across Product teams to shape activation, messaging, and measurement. Drive data-informed improvements and a test-and-learn approach across the customer lifecycle.

  • Own end-to-end onboarding from signup to first value
  • Collaborate with Product, Sales, and Customer Success to align flows and narratives
  • Lead experimentation and measure onboarding health

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Own the onboarding strategy: Define the end-to-end onboarding journey for new Advanced customers, from signup through first value, setting the strategic direction that Product, Product Growth, and Lifecycle teams build against
  • Ground activation strategy in data: Continually mine customer and usage data to pinpoint where customers stall or drop off, and use those insights to define what the product and positioning need to solve
  • Partner across Product and Product Growth teams: Work closely with Product Management and Product Growth to shape onboarding flows, in-product education, personalization, and setup experiences, bringing the customer and market perspective into every product decision that touches onboarding
  • Define the onboarding narrative and value proposition: Own the positioning and value story customers hear from signup through first value, giving Sales, Customer Success, and Lifecycle Marketing the strategic foundation to build their messaging, assets, and playbooks against
  • Measure and report on onboarding health: Define and track the key metrics that show whether onboarding is working, and use them as the evidence base for what to prioritize next
  • Lead with experimentation: Bring a strong bias toward testing — treat onboarding as a living set of product and positioning hypotheses, and let results, not assumptions, determine which bets scale

Requirements

  • BA/BS required, MBA preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in product marketing, product management, or a related customer-lifecycle role
  • Proven ability to use customer and usage data to identify friction points and translate them into concrete improvements
  • Demonstrated experience partnering cross-functionally with Product, Sales, and Customer Success to ship improvements to the customer experience
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to write clear, customer-facing messaging as well as align stakeholders internally
  • Comfort working in ambiguity, with a bias toward testing and iterating rather than waiting for a perfect plan
  • Fluent in a range of AI tools with demonstrable experience incorporating them into your workflow
