Responsibilities

  • Lead development of the Coffee Service Division’s annual and multi-year portfolio strategy aligned to enterprise growth objectives.
  • Identify portfolio expansion opportunities, category gaps, whitespace platforms, and margin improvement levers across Coffee Service channels.
  • Translate market, customer, competitive, and financial insights into clear portfolio priorities and structured growth strategies.
  • Establish portfolio guardrails for product mix, innovation investment, lifecycle discipline, pricing architecture, and margin expectations.
  • Define strategic priorities that guide portfolio decisions across product categories, customer segments, and routes to market.
  • Partner with Finance and Sales to inform portfolio financial planning assumptions, including revenue, margin, mix, pricing, investment, and profitability drivers.
  • Lead development of portfolio-related annual business planning inputs, including performance analysis, competitive review, and strategic gap assessment.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and recommend actions to support revenue, mix, margin, and profitability objectives.
  • Evaluate portfolio economics, including price-pack architecture, mix shifts, cost impacts, margin drivers, and revenue growth opportunities.
  • Identify risks to portfolio performance and develop recommendations to improve profitability, portfolio health, and investment discipline.
  • Support forecast accuracy by providing portfolio insights, lifecycle considerations, innovation assumptions, and customer/channel inputs.
  • Lead CSD innovation strategy and pipeline prioritization aligned to enterprise growth objectives, customer needs, and channel strategy.
  • Identify and develop new product opportunities, renovation initiatives, equipment-related portfolio opportunities, and whitespace platforms.
  • Drive disciplined lifecycle management across Coffee Service products, programs, and equipment-related offerings.
  • Evaluate SKU, product, and program performance; make data-driven recommendations for portfolio expansion, optimization, rationalization, or discontinuation.
  • Ensure innovation initiatives align with portfolio economics, margin expectations, operational feasibility, and commercial strategy.
  • Partner cross-functionally to ensure innovation priorities are clearly defined, financially sound, and executable across the business.
  • Serve as a strategic connector across Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing, Operations, and Equipment teams.
  • Align portfolio strategy with customer strategy, go-to-market priorities, operational capabilities, and financial objectives.
  • Partner with Key Accounts and Execution leaders to translate portfolio strategy into effective commercial plans and selling priorities.
