Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Create, edit, and publish video, photography, graphics, and other digital content for Athletics social media platforms, recruiting, marketing, and departmental initiatives.
  • Provide creative coverage for assigned sports, including practices, competitions, student-athlete features, interviews, community activities, and other Athletics events
  • Create short-form and platform-specific content for Athletics social media channels, including highlights, behind-the-scenes content, student-athlete features, and other timely content.
  • Assist with team media days and other planned creative projects by capturing video and photography and producing assigned digital content.
  • Work with the Assistant Athletic Director for Creative Services and other Athletics staff to complete assigned creative projects, coordinate content needs, and meet established deadlines.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, digital media, graphic design, marketing, broadcasting, journalism, or a related field with experience or exposure to digital content creation through employment, internships, student work, freelance work, or similar experience.
  • Working knowledge of video production, photography, editing, and graphic design.
  • Ability to create engaging content within established brand standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to learn and apply new creative technologies and digital trends.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Preferred

  • One (1) year of related experience or internships, preferably in athletics or sports.
  • Experience creating content for social media or digital platforms and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and photography/video equipment.
  • Portfolio or work samples demonstrating digital content creation.
