Social Media Manager

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute platform-specific strategies across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and emerging channels — native content for each platform, not one asset crossposted everywhere.
• Own the social content calendar, publishing cadence, community engagement, and social listening.
• Stay ahead of emerging trends, formats, creators, memes, and algorithm changes; monitor competitors and the broader wellness and personal care conversation.
• Track social KPIs and deliver regular performance reporting with clear recommendations.
• Concept, shoot, edit, and publish engaging short-form video and other social-first content, owning the creative process from idea through publishing.
• Write scroll-stopping hooks, scripts, captions, and headlines in a consistent brand voice.
• Develop repeatable content formats and series that reliably generate engagement and growth.
• Partner with R&D, quality, and operations to turn PureTek’s manufacturing and science credibility into authentic, educational content most wellness brands cannot make.
• Coordinate internal stakeholders, creators, photographers, videographers, and external partners as needed.
• Partner with Regulatory Affairs and Quality to ensure all content — including creator and affiliate content — complies with FDA and FTC requirements for dietary supplements and OTC drug products, including permissible claims, substantiation, and endorsement disclosures.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of professional experience in social media, content marketing, digital marketing, or influencer marketing, with demonstrated success growing accounts and driving engagement and/or revenue.
• Strong hands-on short-form video skills for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts, with fluency in tools such as CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, or Canva.
• Direct experience with building a business's social media presence.
• A deep understanding of TikTok culture, trends, algorithms, and creators, and what drives content performance.
• Excellent copywriting and storytelling skills, with strong visual and creative instincts.
• Experience using social analytics to make decisions and improve performance.
• Experience in a regulated or claims-sensitive category — supplements, OTC, health and wellness, beauty, or food/CPG — strongly preferred; at minimum, the discipline to create winning content within FDA/FTC guardrails.
• Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Entrepreneurial, hands-on, and comfortable building a function from the ground up.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; prior experience hiring or mentoring creative talent is a plus.
